Sharon Green
Sharon is a bass in the chorus. She started in 2003. She says that it was all new to her. She had never heard of women singing Barbershop before! She said it was quite a challenge for someone who doesn't read music. Sharon learns the music by listening to it repetitively.
Her hobbies are scrapbooking, shopping, talking and doing things with
friends, and of course, singing. She
sang in chorus in High school and in her choir at church.
Her husband, Gary, is in to drag racing. He has his own car, so that
has become a part of her life. He
supports her singing as well. They have three married daughters and two
unmarried sons. Their girls have
given them nine grandchildren.
Sharon feels that the closeness of the chorus is like having many sisters.
EVERY ONE of the gals is very
special. She thinks that they all can count on each other, and rally round
when needs arise. Sharon
expresses what a good time they all have at our "Preserving Harmony" weekends.
"We learn, laugh, eat, sing, and then laugh some more. They are great
get-away weekends. It is a great to get to know each
other. Come join us - you won't be sorry!"
